Supported entirely by the studio, the project highlights the desire of the two owners to create a minimal and warm space combining functionality and aesthetics. Located at the corner of Guizot and Henri-Julien streets, the small room has been restored to give pride to the original architectural components of the space. It is in this canvas that Alphabet stepped in to design a modern cafe with delicate decorative details, illustrated mainly by the style of the furniture, the detailed coverings and the controlled lighting. The fluid circulation in the room is dictated by key elements especially designed for the space. The large curve of the service counter creates a movement whose shapes resonate elsewhere in the cafe, from the outline of the oval tables to their monolithic bases. In return, the dynamic linear movement produced by the benches balances the composition. The space hosts several pieces from the Alphabet furniture collection, including the new Topique Automne chair in a terracotta colour, and in a pale blue and rotating version around the counter. The 60 ” black Île lamps, accompanied by the new round Aube pendant lights, help define precise atmospheres throughout the entire cafe.
