This project is a workspace designed and built for a private residence. At the client’s request, it includes plenty of storage and an desk. The storage in this space is divided into two categories: open at the top of the cabinet to accommodate a collection of books and selected objects, and closed at the bottom to store more utilitarian office equipment. Able to accommodate two people working from home, the desk has been designed with openings to allow power cables to pass through. The warm tone of the wood is counterbalanced by a color chosen by the client which is present throughout the project – a blue like a breath of fresh air which reflects the light entering through the adjacent window.
